Stan Ray Taper Fatigue pant in olive ripstop fabric.
The style is based on the USA military work uniform which ran from the 1950s to the 1980s. Reproduced here in military grade cotton ripstop, which is durable and hardwearing, yet breathable and soft once broken in. Tough construction with double chain stitched flat felled seams. Unlike the original work uniform, this style has a tapered leg which narrows down to a 15 1/2" opening.
Double chain stitch, flat felled seam construction
The original painter pant style from Stan Ray. Back in 1972, Earl Beard started manufacturing painter pants and carpenter pants for Brooklyn overall company in a small sewing shop in the heart of Texas, USA.
The silhouette, construction details, machines and manufacturing method remain the same as back then. This style has a relaxed straight leg fit, made in heavyweight 10oz hickory stripe raw denim.
