Carhartt WIP x Isle Skateboards Collaboration
We are one of the few stores lucky enough to have the dope collab between sculptor/skater Raphael Zarka and Carhartt x Isle Skateboards. Zarka explores the crossroad between skating and contemporary art using spatial geometry, as printed on the tees and also to be utilised in a live exhibition, with a film to follow suit.
For this collaboration with Carhartt WIP and ISLE Skateboards came together with Raphaël Zarka in a dialogue at the crossroad of skateboarding and contemporary art. Sylvain Tognelli skates for Carhartt WIP; he is part of the funding crew of ISLE Skateboards. It was just a question of time before a collaboration could be set up.
Zarka's latest discovery in spatial geometry is given a new dimension through the motions of skateboarding. The geometrical forms are printed as graphics (boards/t-shirts) but are also being produced and exhibited as solid wooden sculptures to become geometrical skate obstacle and pieces of art at the same time. The products feature Nick Jensen's researches on perspectives and materials alongside works from guest artists.
We've got the entire range of tees as well as the Skye Jacket both in store and online. This collab is super limited and exclusive to only a select few stores across the world.
