When soon-to-be-renowned Boston hip-hop duo 7L & Esoteric collaborated with the Wu-Tang Clan's Inspectah Deck on the title track to 7LES’s debut EP Speaking Real Words in 1999, the timing was perfect. The upstart duo was building a serious buzz on the East Coast and beyond, while Deck was still winning praise for his gold-selling solo disc Uncontrolled Substance. As flashy pop-oriented rap was pumped on commercial radio stations, their natural chemistry and simpatico skills shone as a beacon to real hip-hop fans, a base of listeners who were soon asking about their next musical summit. 14 years later, the hunger for sharp lyrics and head-snapping beats hasn't dissipated. In the face of the ever-worsening status quo of watered-down and vapid radio rap songs, the call for something real has only gotten stronger, and once again the time is right for a call to action – for someone or something to come in and send wack rappers running for the hills in fear. Enter CZARFACE, the upcoming, uncompromising full-length album from Inspectah Deck and 7L & Esoteric. Not surprising, respect for real hip-hop runs deep, and CZARFACE brings an army with it — consider the star-studded guest list which includes Roc Marciano, Action Bronson, Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks,) Oh No (Gangrene,) Mr. MFN eXquire and Deck's fellow Wu-Tang Clansmen Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna. Aside from one track blessed by the almighty DJ Premier, production on CZARFACE belongs exclusively to DJ 7L, who provides the musical backbone which holds the album together. His ability to craft a hip-hop sound that's current and exciting with a classic feel left Deck impressed: “This is one of the first albums I've heard in a while that gives you so many different feels. You hear the ‘80s hip-hop style, ‘80s R&B and rock combined with what's going on now. That’s creating something new, in my opinion.”A collaboration this big is bound to catch some attention, as it has from MISHKA NYC artist Lamour Supreme, who penned the eye-popping Jack “King” Kirby inspired cover art for CZARFACE. Tracks : A1. Czarface Intro A2. Air 'Em Out A3. Cement 3's Featuring Roc Marciano A4. Czar Refaeli Featuring Oh No Of Gangrene B1. Rock Beast B2. Savagely Attack Featuring Ghostface Killah B3. It is a tall boast, but it’s backed up two different ways: by fans of the group from back in the ‘90s who knocked each other over in record
stores to get the latest Pete Rock production; and by record buyers today, who still hear the same freshness in the group’s sound that
people did more than two decades ago.
These two songs are taken from the group’s legendary first full-length from 1992, Mecca & The Soul Brother. Originally, both were their
own 12-inch singles, but for this special, first-time-ever 7-Inch release, they are paired together.

Colored Vinyl Pressing Exclusive For RSD 2020 (5000 copies worldwide).God's Son was released in December of 2002, and like Stillmatic before it, was subject to major critical acclaim. On God's Son, Nas effectively took the battle-hardened demeanor he had cultivated and tore it down across 14 tracks that were emotionally insular, though still dusted in urban grit.(And still finding time to shoot back at Jay-Z's potshots on tracks like "Last Real Nigga Alive" and "Mastermind.") Assisting Nas was a slew of top-tier producers like The Alchemist, Eminem, Ron Browz, and Salaam Remi, (Over samples of James Brown, the Incredible Bongo Band, Fela Kuti, and Beethoven) and guest vocals from Alicia Keys, Kelis, Claudette Ortiz of City High, and even a posthumous 2Pac.God's Son has been out of print on vinyl since its initial 2002 release, but Get On Down is excited to bring you this deluxe LP package for Record Store Day 2020, remastered from its original audio and pressed on exclusive colored vinyl! Reissue of the third album from Modd Depp, an excellent continuation of their critically acclaimed The Infamous, featuring guest appearances from the likes of Nas, Raekwon, Method Man and Big Noyd.
Coming off the critically acclaimed The Infamous, Havoc and Prodigy hit the lab and came back with a soundtrack that is fitting to its title. Havoc’s production is atmospheric; laced with his trademark drums loops and sharp pianos stabs. Add Prodigy’s trademark flow and it’s evident that the pairing is such an amazing match.

Massively neglected classic album from 1994. f you know MF Doom, you probably know the history of this album. KMD was the original group consisting of Subrock, Zev luv-X (Doom) & Onyx. Onyx left and then while working on this LP Doom's brother Subrock was killed in a car accident. As the LP was finished Elektra shelved the album and dropped Doom due to the controversial cover art, (a sambo hanging from a gallows.)
Years later some of the rough cuts of the LP emerged on the Fondel Em' label as the "Black Ba***rd's: Roughs & Rares EP" giving a small hint to what greatness the album could have been. A few years later under Doom's own Metal Face Records "Black Bas***ds" finally saw the light of day.

One of the biggest shifts in underground Hip-Hop in the last decade is the frequency of releases. Some emcees have been able to make the transition, some have not. Lawrence laureate and ST capo, Termanology, has always been prolific with the mixtapes and in this new era he's simply switched up to LPs. His most recent full-length "Vintage Horns" is proof this vet is only getting better with age. The majority of the album's beats provided by Statik Selektah and Shortfyuz, but Term also bless a track from Oh No, as well as newcomers like Nef, godBLESSbeatz, and Conductor Williams. The guest line-up is similarly filled with established and new names alike, including Ras Kass, 38 Spesh, Eto, Tek (Smif 'N Wessun), UFO Fev, Wais P, and, of course, his ST crew.

Curren$y, Trademark and Young Roddy have reconnected for Plan of Attack. Plan of Attack is a dream album for listeners of Curren$y, Trademark and Young Roddy. Fans across the globe rejoiced when the three artists reconnected for the album’s title track this Spring, which marked the first collaboration from all three core members of the Jets in close to five years. A cursory search of social media will show that fans around the world yearned daily for a reunion, and now the three New Orleans legends are giving their audience exactly what they've demanded.
After releasing the widely beloved title track, “Plan of Attack,” the crew quickly followed-up with the soulful cut “No Hook,” and then planted their flag with the momentous third single “Power,” which is quickly becoming a fan favorite. As RapRadar suggests, "they're well prepared for a 2019 takeover."
Plan of Attack features production from long-time collaborators Monsta Beatz, Cookin Soul and Sledgren, with additional production from Djay Cas, 206derek, B-Eazy the DJ, Seth From Above, DZY, Guala Beatz and more.

Tyler, the Creator, is a founding member of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (ofwgkta), a 10-person hip hop collective. This is going to have the same effect on hip hop as other landmark moments - the first Wu-Tang long player, the Beastie Boys dropping License to Ill, Dr Octagon's Dr Octagon and Public Enemy's Yo Bum Rush the Show and provide a much needed antidote to where hip hop is now. Their show's are more like punk shows and their love for skating, supreme and bacon far outweighs their love for the music industry. He's an accomplished musician, a stunning wordsmith and definitely not someone to be taken lightly - not bad for someone who's not even 20 yet! this is more than style over substance and definitely not horror core - it's hip hop in it's rawest form and what we really need right now! production on the album is handled almost entirely by Tyler apart from The Other One which is produced by Left Brain and features from ofwgkta members Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Mike G, Taco and Jasper the Fucking Dolphin.

Bronx duo Camp Lo have teamed up with the one and only Pete Rock to drop 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s (a mixtape series available as a full length). With the projects name paying homage to the BX gangs of the 70s, it’s only right that they bring it back to hip-hop’s essence in the video, graffiti, b-boys, rhymin’ on the project stairways, two turntables and a mic.
Pete Rock, whose production work helped define the 90s “golden age” is a rare exception. Rock’s one of the few musicians who made his name in the aggressively unflashy 90s East Coast sound who’s managed to stay continually relevant without capitulating to changing tastes.
80 Blocks from Tiffany's offers proof that amidst the expeditions rap music’s launching into new sonic territories like EDM, noisy psychedelia, and quasi-industrial music, the classic boom-bap stuff still has a place featuring Mac Miller, MOP, Ab-Soul, Talib Kweli and more...

Nirvana’s 1989 debut album still remains the best-selling album to have ever been released by Sub Pop, who Nirvana were signed to before they made their major label jump for the game-changing Nevermind. Bleach is notable for its scrappy sound, which is rooted in the style of the Seattle grunge scene at the time, although songs like the classic ‘About A Girl’ offer glimpses into the more adventurous songwriting that Kurt Cobain would later develop. Bleach is also notable for featuring original drummer Chad Channing, who left after the album’s release and was replaced by Dave Grohl. The reissue features a bonus live album recorded in 1990.
